These original patterns are carefully created using traditional Indian screen printing.

Fabric is stretched across a long printing table, and screens prepared for each color are layered.

This painstaking process is carried out by two craftsmen at each table, working in unison.

They change the screen for each color, align it, and print again.

This is a highly precise and patient technique where the final pattern only emerges when multiple colors overlap.

Another major feature is the delicate ichimatsu pattern woven into the fabric itself.

Geometric patterns subtly emerge depending on the angle of light and distance, so delicate you'll want to get closer to see them.

The shawl's pattern is constructed upon this beautiful woven pattern, and the more colors that are printed, the more depth is created, giving it the appearance of a work of art.
